Malta
The Malta-Cuba Association held an Exhibition dealing with the restoration
work carried out on the historical Architecture in Havana at the
Exhibition Hall of the General Workers Union Malta's largest Trade
Union. The exhibition was opened officially by his Excellency Professor
Guido Demarco President of the Republic of Malta in the presence
of her Excellency Maria de los Angeles Flores Prida Ambassador to
Malta for Cuba and other distinguished guests, which included the
General Secretary of the GWU Mr Tony Zarb. And Mr Tony Vassallo
Secretary General of the Communist Party of Malta. The gathering
was addressed by Mr Micheal Camilleri President of the Malta-Cuba
Association, by his excellency the Presidentof the republic, and
the Cuban ambassador.
This exhibition was held at the Workers Memorial Buildings. The
Headquarters of the General Workers Union. Malta's largest Trade
Union. The exhibits were ably mounted by Mr George Glanville an
art expert who has held numerous expositions of artistic nature.
